Playwright Brian James Polak attends a workshop session for his play, “The Call List”. Submitted.

Third Avenue PlayWorks (TAP) will partner with local bars and restaurants for a series of happy hours to promote its upcoming production of The Call List by Brian James Polak.

During this promotion, running Monday, Sept. 7 through Friday, Sept. 18, patrons at each participating location can enter to win a pair of tickets to The Call List at TAP.

The play, performed Sept. 23 through Oct. 11, follows a law firm worker tasked with calling a list of names to announce a client’s death. It’s a darkly funny story about work, the people we encounter there and what happens when an ordinary day takes an unexpected turn.

One winner from each location featured in the happy hour promotion will receive two tickets to the upcoming play. Guests can visit each location, find The Call List happy hour signage and scan the QR code to register to win.

Participating locations are:

• Brick Lot Pub and Grill, 253 N. 3rd Ave. in Sturgeon Bay. Mention TAP for happy hour prices – $2.50 Busch Light or Pabst Light cans, and $3 domestic pints.

• Cherry Lanes Arcade Bar, 127 N. 4th Ave. in Sturgeon Bay. Ask for happy hour specials.

• CUT, 4135 Main St. in Fish Creek. Happy hour is available daily from 3 to 5 pm, including $3 off specialty cocktails, $2 off wine by the glass, $2 off beer and a mini menu.

• Drömhus, 611 Jefferson St. in Sturgeon Bay. Happy hour is available daily from 4 to 6 pm, including $2 off any beer, $3 off any wine or $5 off a bottle of wine.

• Thirsty Cow Taphouse, 7899 Cty A in Baileys Harbor. A specialty cocktail, The Call List caramel apple smash, is sold for $1.27 per ounce, featuring Central Standard’s gold medal-winning Red Cabin bourbon, blended with apple cider, caramel and a touch of cinnamon.

Participants must be 21 or older to register. Winners will be selected by random drawing on Monday, Sept. 21, and will have five days to claim the prize. No purchase is necessary to enter. Only one registration is allowed per location, and only one entry is accepted per day. Individuals can only win once.
