This is Alex’s second season with Third Avenue Playworks. Originally from Denver, Colorado, Alex studied at Metropolitan University of Dever where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Applied Theatre Technology and Design, emphasis in scenic art and design. After college he worked as a scenic artist, set designer, and scenic carpenter at various theaters in the Denver area, as well as 4 summer seasons at Creede Repertory Theatre. From 2019 to 2020 he worked as an Assistant Technical Director at Utah Festival Opera.
After moving to Wisconsin in 2020 he spent some time working industrial and commercial jobs but found his way back to theater through designing UWGB’s production of Picasso at the Lapin Agile. Through that connection he was offered the position at TAP and hit the ground running to put up the 2022 season. Alex is incredibly proud of the shows we’ve presented so far, and even more excited for what’s to come in 2023. As always he wants to thank everyone who’s helped him get to where he is today: friends, family, fellow artists. There’s not enough room to list you all.
