TAP Gives Back

Great theatre inspires collaboration and fosters relationships with the larger community. TAP partners with a variety of non-profit service organizations in our community to raise awareness and funds to support their work in service of Door County. At each Pay-What-You-Will performance, offered on the Wednesday prior to opening night, all proceeds received will be given to the community partner(s). Additional talkbacks with the organizations provide a unique opportunity to learn more about the intriguing and sometimes provocative themes explored in our productions and how it relates to the mission of each non-profit partner.

The Community Partner Program at Third Avenue PlayWorks is an initiative that seeks to engage with the local community by forming partnerships with local non-profit organizations and businesses. The program aims to foster a sense of community through collaborations that promote the arts and enrich the cultural landscape of the area.

2024 Community Partners

We began our partnership with the Door County Public Library in 2022 with the idea that theatres should be more like libraries—spaces for everyone. In partnership with the Door County Library, TAP offers free tickets for every show of the season. These tickets are available to anyone!

Each branch distributes tickets for this program. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be used by patrons once per season. Get more information at your local library branch!
