April is beyond thrilled to be joining the TAP family in beautiful Sturgeon Bay. She grew up in the Appleton area, started her professional career in Milwaukee, and dreamt of Door County living ever since attending the 2008 Steel Bridge Songfest.
April holds a bachelor’s degree in theatre studies from UW Milwaukee and has continued studying various concepts with her recent immersion into the health insurance industry. Her passion for storytelling was reignited while serving as director of photography on a 48-hour film project last year, which shifted her focus to arts administration. The collaborative process has always been a larger interest of hers, as she dabbled in scene painting, videography, casting, and assistant direction. As a performer, she has worked with companies such as Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Renaissance Theaterworks, Next Act Theatre, Rochester Civic Theatre, and Forward Theater.
In her spare time, April can be found spending time with family, hiking, kayaking, thrifting, and crafting. She is always looking for opportunities to learn something new and grow with compassion.
