Volunteers are an essential part of TAP, helping us facilitate professional theatre year round. Did you know that the process of deconstructing the set for a show is called strike? While that thought may seem intimidating, there is actually a job for everybody in this process! Yes, power tools are used to take apart pieces of the set, but there are lots of other tasks like rolling electrical cords, putting away props and costumes, and basic everyday cleaning. Volunteers also have the opportunity to see a show for free! You could see the show prior to strike or we’ll give you a voucher to use on another show this season. And the best part about volunteering is that you’ll become a member of our theatre community. Because that is what theatre is all about. We’ve got a place for you at TAP!

Join is as we bring the curtain down on our remaining shows! Whether you’re a seasoned pro with a drill or just great at organizing chaos, we need you to help us strike the set. It’s fast, fun, and a fantastic way to bond with your fellow theatre lovers. We will also be doing some basement cleaning and or organization as needed on Stike nights as well.
Let us know if you need to join late, or leave early. We would love for commitment all evening, but we understand if you can only come for part of the time slot.
Strike Duties
- You’ll arrive about 4pm
- Work with the Technical Director to dismantle the set
- Carry props and costumes
- Roll electrical cords
- Basic cleaning and organizing
*Working on the set requires closed-toe shoes and you would generally want to wear clothes you won’t mind getting dirty.

With the helpful assistance of a multitalented musician and foley artist, our top-notch ensemble of actors once again brings the lovable and irascible residents of Bedford Falls to captivating life in this staged 1940s radio broadcast where you are the live studio audience! This unique spin on one of America’s favorite films is great fun for the whole family!
We aim to make strike as quick, safe, and efficient as possible! Safety equipment and tools will be provided. Volunteers are required to wear close-toed shoes and wear clothing you won’t mind getting dirty. Strike will run no longer than six hours, but volunteers are generally released after two to three hours.
