Group Discounts
Third Avenue PlayWorks in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, offers opportunities for groups to experience theatre worth talking about! Whether you’re interested in bringing your book club to see a literary adaptation, planning a family vacation or a corporate retreat, or filling a tour bus destined for Door County, Third Avenue PlayWorks offers unique opportunities for groups of fifteen or more, including discounted tickets.
Tour Bus Groups
Your Door County tour group will enjoy high-quality theatrical productions in the intimate 124-seat Steve & Jackie Kane Theatre at Third Avenue PlayWorks, located in the heart of downtown Sturgeon Bay. The air-conditioned, indoor theatre offers spectacular views from every seat in a completely accessible building with ADA-compliant restroom facilities and single-level access from street to seat with up to eight wheelchair seating positions. Audio assistance is also available with a hearing loop system.
At our modest-size theatre, your group will receive our extra care and attention from the booking process through the last bows. Additionally, tour groups receive:
- A 10% discount on tickets
- 2 complimentary tickets with every 30 group tickets purchased
- “Step On” welcome when you arrive at the theatre
- Access to cash concessions one hour prior to the performance, as well as during intermission (if available)
- Additional group experiences available
Discounted Tickets for Groups
All groups of fifteen or more patrons qualify for a 10% discount on your tickets to Third Avenue PlayWorks productions. When group tickets to your desired show go on sale, here’s how it works:
- Make your request online via the form by clicking the Request Information button, by phone, or email, and we’ll reserve your tickets (subject to availability).
- Pay 20% of your total when you make your reservation.
- Share the final number of tickets and pay your balance in full 60 days prior to your performance.
- We will have your tickets available at the Box Office one hour prior to your scheduled show time for you to disperse to your guests, or you can make arrangements to pick up your tickets in advance.
Group orders not completed 60 days in advance are subject to cancellation and will result in a 10% handling fee.
Plan A Group Experience
Further engage with the theatrical process by scheduling a tour or experience at Third Avenue PlayWorks in conjunction with your ticketed production. Get backstage for a behind-the-scenes tour, learn more about the production design in a pre-show discussion, or engage with the actors in a post-show conversation. Group experiences available with a fifteen-person minimum.
Welcome Reception
Add a 30-minute welcome reception onto any group experience with one complimentary wine, beer, or soda per person.

Go behind-the-scenes to explore the stage, scene shop, costume shop and prop storage, and rehearsal room. Plus, learn about the unique history of Third Avenue PlayWorks.

Pre-Show Discussion
Join the Jackie & Steve Kane Artistic Director, Jacob Janssen, and members of the creative team to discuss the production design and themes of the play prior to the performance. Learn more about the behind-the-scenes process of making theatre from our staff directly and enhance your enjoyment of the live theatre experience.

Join the Jackie & Steve Kane Artistic Director, Jacob Janssen, and members of the cast to discuss the play after you’ve seen it. Learn more about the behind-the-scenes process of making theater and gain a deeper understanding of the play as you’re able to ask the questions you’re most interested in.

Holiday Party
Host your large family gathering or corporate holiday party with a two-hour rental of our third-floor rehearsal room prior to the show. You may bring in your own food and any additional tables and chairs required to treat your guests prior to the show.

Student Matinee for Groups
Broaden the horizons for your group of students with theatre worth talking about at Third Avenue PlayWorks. In addition to the cultural experience of seeing live theatre, we can offer pre-show discussions about designing and producing theatre as well as post-show conversations with the actors to further explore the stories presented onstage. Further enhance your student matinee experience by adding a customized workshop to your visit led by the Third Avenue PlayWorks Education Program.
