Door County is home to a vibrant arts community, and few places celebrate that creativity quite like Plum Bottom Gallery. Since opening its doors in 2007, this family-owned gallery has become one of the peninsula’s premier destinations for fine art, connecting visitors with exceptional artists from Door County and across the county.
Founded by Chad Luberger and co-owned with his wife, Angela Olson Luberger, Plum Bottom Gallery was built on the belief that art has the power to inspire, connect, and enrich our everyday lives. Today, the gallery represents more than 200 nationally collected artists whose work spans an incredible variety of mediums, including painting, sculpture, blown glass, ceramics, fiber art, metalwork, wood, mixed media, and handcrafted jewelry.
Angela, an accomplished metalsmith herself, creates the gallery’s signature line of hand-forged sterling silver jewelry, while Chad’s passion for discovering and supporting artists has helped establish Plum Bottom Gallery as a destination for collectors and first-time art buyers alike. Their shared vision is simple: make fine art approachable, welcoming, and accessible to everyone.
Over the years, Plum Bottom Gallery has grown from its original Egg Harbor location into four galleries across Door County, each offering a thoughtfully curated collection of artwork and a unique experience for visitors. Whether you’re searching for a statement piece for your home, a meaningful gift, or simply looking to spend an afternoon surrounded by creativity, each gallery invites you to slow down, explore, and discover something unexpected.
Beyond its gallery walls, Plum Bottom is deeply committed to fostering connections between artists and community. Throughout the year, they host artist receptions, live demonstrations, and special events that give visitors the opportunity to meet the makers behind the work and gain a deeper appreciation for their creative process. Their galleries aren’t just places to purchase art, they’re places to experience it.
That commitment to celebrating creativity throughout Door County is one of the many reasons Plum Bottom Gallery has become such a valued community partner. At Third Avenue PlayWorks, we’re fortunate to showcase a rotating selection of artwork from Plum Bottom Gallery in our lobby during each production. These curated exhibitions create another opportunity for our patrons to experience the incredible talent represented by the gallery while highlighting the many ways the visual and performing arts can complement one another.
We invite you to stop by one of their galleries, explore the current exhibitions, and take a few moments to enjoy the artwork on display in our lobby. It’s just one more way our community’s artists continue to inspire conversations, spark imagination, and remind us of the power of the arts.
