Third Avenue PlayWorks (TAP) kicked off rehearsals this week for its upcoming production of Ryan’s Pub, Trivia Night by Alec Silberblatt.
The fourth show of the 2025 TAP season, the play runs Sept. 24 to Oct. 12, featuring performances by Kelli Strickland and Doug Mancheski.

For September, TAP has partnered with local businesses for a unique ticket giveaway. Attendees of trivia nights at Cherry Lanes Arcade Bar and Stone Harbor Resort in Sturgeon Bay, The Thirsty Cow Taphouse in Baileys Harbor, and Buzz Social in Green Bay will have a chance to win a pair of tickets to Ryan’s Pub, Trivia Night.
They will also have the opportunity to be included in the production during the run of the show, with their photograph featured onstage on the Wall of Champions, where the characters in the play are striving for a spot.

The world premiere of Ryan’s Pub, Trivia Night tells the story of Marci and Richie, the best trivia team on this side of the Monongahela River. Trivia night at Ryan’s Pub in Pittsburgh brings cheaters in billowy khakis, bosses with big watches and bartenders in tight t-shirts – and forces characters to come face-to-face with demons.

The production at TAP is directed by Jackie and Steve Kane Artistic Director Jacob Janssen, with scenic design by Alex Polzin, costume design by Kotryna Hilko, lighting design by Colin Gawronski, sound design by Brian Grimm, props design by Haley Anne Cranstoun and production stage management by Kelsey Brennan York.
Performances take place Sept. 24 to Oct. 12, Wednesday through Saturday at 7:30 pm and Sunday at 2 pm. A Friday matinee on Oct. 3, 2 pm, will be followed by a post-show conversation.
The play’s run starts with a pay-what-you-will preview on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 7:30 pm, with half of the proceeds benefiting JAK’s Place, a mental health nonprofit and the play’s community partner.
