Door Four, Door County Theatres

Door County Theatre

The Door Four, a term coined by our Education Coordinator, Dan Klarer, represents each of the Door County peninsula’s professional theater companies: Door Shakespeare in Sister Bay, Northern Sky Theater and Peninsula Players Theatre in Fish Creek, and of course Third Avenue PlayWorks in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin!

The Door Four Challenge

Residents and visitors to Door County may return to the same theatre each time they visit because they are familiar with the location, fond of the actors, or confident they will be satisfied with the production. What the Door Four offers is a variety of different ways to experience theatre in Door County. Each venue has it’s own unique flavor. The Door Four Challenge incentivizes you to sample the art being produced at each of these professional theatres.

All you need to do is reserve your tickets at each of the Door Four: Door Shakespeare, Northern Sky Theater, Peninsula Players Theater, and Third Avenue PlayWorks and enjoy your theatre season! Save your ticket stubs and on your fourth theatre visit of the season, visit the box office and proudly proclaim you’ve completed the Door Four Challenge! You’ll earn a Door Four bumper sticker to promote your accomplishment with pride. And it is our hope that you’ve learned something new and broadened your perspective along the way.
