Education

TAP Education Program

At Third Avenue PlayWorks in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, we believe theatre should be accessible to all and serve as a catalyst for building and sustaining community. Our Community Engagement and Education Program brings the transformative power of theatre to students and lifelong learners across Northeast Wisconsin through classes, school shows, internships, and partnerships with local organization. We’re committed to making theatre inclusive and relevant by exploring local history, current issues, and personal storytelling through dynamic, participatory programming. Access is at the heart of our mission – we offer discounted tickets for seniors, children, and library patrons to ensure everyone can experience live theatre. Support our mission with a donation today!

Theatre Workshops

Education_Theatre Workshops with Dan Klarer

Throughout the year, we offer Theatre Workshops with Dan Klarer, a professional theater artist living in Door County and working as an actor, fight director, stage manager, and costume designer. Dan has taught stage combat and worked at a variety of sanctioned workshops through the Society of American Fight Directors and Dueling Arts International as well as taught clowning, Shakespeare, and acting for young people.

Thanks to a generous grant from The Packer Foundation, TAP teaching artists will be coming to Door and Kewaunee County schools in 2025.

If you’re interested in having us visit your classroom, fill out the form below to connect with Dan Klarer, our Community Engagement & Education Coordinator.
