Why Co-Direct Heroes?
This play Heroes, is in large part about friendship, so when it came time to put together the 2026 season, the idea of collaborating together on a play felt like the most obvious choice in the world. Our friendship has always seen us dreaming of creative projects and telling stories with the amazing artists we are fortunate to call friends and colleagues. “From humble beginnings come great things.”

100+ Women Who Care Door County (100+WWC) Giving Circle continued its philanthropic platform of providing financial support to nonprofits of Door County at its 31st quarterly Giving Event. After presenting information about their community work, three nonprofit organizations received awards on Monday, January 26, 2026.
TAP ANNOUNCES ANOTHER ROUND OF ACTING CLASSES
Third Avenue PlayWorks (TAP) announces its spring theatre workshops led by Dan Klarer, Community Engagement and Education Coordinator at TAP. Classes will be available for adults over 18 years of age, as well as teen students aged 13 to 18 years old. Both workshops are now a pay-what-you-will structure with scholarships meeting students where they are financially so nobody is turned away due to cost.

Dan Klarer Brings Two Decades of Experience to Theatre Workshops
Our Education coordinator, Dan Klarer, has been teaching and preaching the joy of theatre for two decades. He recently spent time as an interim lecturer of acting at his alma mater, the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, teaching movement, voice, scene study, and acting for camera. His full background in the performing arts gives him a unique perspective and he has brought that with him to our wonderful community here in Sturgeon Bay and greater Door County.

A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play Opens December 2 at TAP
Third Avenue PlayWorks (TAP) is proud to announce its upcoming production of A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play, adapted for the stage by Joe Landry, Music by Kevin Connors, from the novella by Charles Dickens. The final show of the 2025 season at Third Avenue PlayWorks runs from December 3 through 28, 2025, featuring performances by Cassandra Bissell, Neil Brookshire, Ray Jivoff, Dan Klarer, and Rána Roman, with sound design and foley by Brian Grimm.
