In 2005 we met in the theatre program at UW – Stevens Point. We quickly became close friends. Over the years we took different winding paths through our artform. Dan pursued performance and design, as well as spending lots of time here in Door County. Jacob pursued directing and producing mostly on the east coast. But all the while we remained close and collaborated when and where we could. We celebrated our triumphs and were there for each other through our challenges.

This play Heroes, is in large part about friendship, so when it came time to put together the 2026 season, the idea of collaborating together on a play felt like the most obvious choice in the world. Our friendship has always seen us dreaming of creative projects and telling stories with the amazing artists we are fortunate to call friends and colleagues. “From humble beginnings come great things.”
