Third Avenue PlayWorks to host open auditions Wednesday

If you have ever wanted to act on stage at the Steve & Jackie Kane Theatre at Third Avenue PlayWorks in Sturgeon Bay, move your schedule around on Wednesday. Third Avenue PlayWorks will host open auditions for its 2026 season on Wednesday from noon to 8 p.m., with a break from 4 to 5 p.m.

100+ Women Continue Big Impact With January Giving Awards

To date, 100+ Women Who Care Door County (100+WWC) have given $823,000 to 74 Door County nonprofits over eight years of giving – including the next quarterly Giving Event scheduled for Monday, Jan. 26 at the Carolyn Kress Pavilion Great Hall, 7845 Church St., Egg Harbor, from 6:30-7:30 pm, with registration and social hour starting at 5:30 pm.

Dan Klarer Brings Two Decades of Experience to Theatre Workshops

Our Education coordinator, Dan Klarer, has been teaching and preaching the joy of theatre for two decades. He recently spent time as an interim lecturer of acting at his alma mater, the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, teaching movement, voice, scene study, and acting for camera. His full background in the performing arts gives him a unique perspective and he has brought that with him to our wonderful community here in Sturgeon Bay and greater Door County.
