December 3rd – A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play
Our Community Partner for A Christmas Carol: A Live Radio Play is our own Education program. We believe that the theatre creates and sustains community, and should be accessible to all. We create educational programming to bring theatre experiences to our community – regardless of age, means, or ability – through participatory classes, discussions and talks, assembly-length shows, internships, and partnerships with local civic organizations to bring local history and our present concerns to life using theatrical techniques. Half of the Pay-What-You-Will evening’s proceeds and donations collected in the lobby throughout the run of the show will benefit our community partner.
The WBFR Radio Players are back! With the assistance of a gifted musician and foley artist, the five WBFR players bring scores of colorful characters, inventive sound effects, and musical underscoring to vivid life. In this unique, family-friendly production, our talented team of artists creates an authentic 1940’s radio experience in front of a live studio audience. You’ve never experienced Charles Dickens’ holiday classic quite like this!
